SCOPE OF CONTRACT

We were contracted by Balfour Beatty to carry out site surveys, production of detail drawings, fabrication within our facility in Cardiff along with the installation of support steelwork to the 200-year-old, Grade II Fry Building. The works are part of the universities £33M regeneration project to become the new home for the School of Mathematics.

Each element of the works comes with its own complexity regarding logistics on getting material to the work place along with the actual installation methods. Each area is unique not only for the fabrication and design elements but for the installation.

Our scope of works so far has provided door trimmers, risers steelwork, lecture theatre support steelwork, floor support beams and stairs.

The contract is on-going with orders to cover in excess of 70 works packages to date.
